The questions this product actually gets, answered. If yours is not here, the contact form reaches us directly.

What the real test is like

The citizenship test has 20 questions — multiple choice and true or false — and you need 15 correct to pass. You get 45 minutes and you take it in English or French.

Most applicants between 18 and 54 have to take it, and there are three attempts within the window IRCC gives you. Everything about the invitation and the result comes from IRCC, not from us.

What the free plan includes

Twenty graded questions a day, drawn from a starter set of 200. They reset at midnight, Toronto time.

Everything else stays open: the full study guide, practice mode, the timed simulation, the sample exam questions and the diagnostic. No account and no card are needed to start.

Do I need an account?

No. You can practise, read the guide and take the timed simulation without one, and your progress is kept on this device.

A free account keeps that progress across devices — that is all it changes. It does not unlock the paid modes.

Create a free account

What Elite costs and what it unlocks

$15 once. Not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel and no renewal, ever.

It removes the daily limit and opens the whole 2,000+ question bank, the adaptive quizzes, Target Practice on the questions you got wrong, and the readiness plan that reads your recent runs.

Refunds

If Elite is not right for you, ask within 7 days of purchase — as long as you have answered fewer than 100 questions on Elite — and we refund it in full to the original payment method, usually within 5 business days.

After that the sale is final, because Elite is a digital product delivered immediately. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under consumer protection law.

Read the terms

Where the questions come from

Every question is written against Discover Canada, the guide published by IRCC, and the app shows the page each one comes from — the explanation links straight to it.

The bank is re-read against the guide when the guide changes. We are not affiliated with the Government of Canada, and the free official guide remains the primary study resource.

How this is built

How do I know when I am ready?

The only honest measure is your score on 20 questions in the official format, against the 15-to-pass bar. The timed simulation and the sample exam give you exactly that, and it is free to take.

Your accuracy per chapter and per region is on the progress page, so you can see which chapters still pull you down. Elite adds a readiness read across your recent runs and the three things worth doing next.

How the daily limit is counted

Only graded questions count — a question you answer and get marked on. Reading the guide, browsing, and reviewing an explanation afterwards are all free.

The count resets at midnight, Toronto time. If you are signed in, the count follows your account; if you are not, it follows this device.

Switching between English and French

The interface, the questions, the answers and the explanations all exist in both languages, and you can switch from the header at any time.

One exception: while a quiz is running the switch is locked, because the two languages are separate question banks and a run has to finish in the language it started in.

Password reset and deleting your account

Both are self-serve and instant: use "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page, or go to Account → Security to delete the account and everything in it.

If a reset email does not arrive, check the spam folder first — then write to us from the contact page and we will look at the sending log for your address.

Is this official?

No. CitiQuiz Canada is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Government of Canada or IRCC.

Discover Canada, the official study questions and the test facts are published free at canada.ca, and the guide is readable in full inside this app.

Reporting a wrong answer or a bug

Use the contact page and choose "A question or answer is wrong" — paste the question text and the guide page it shows. Every report is checked against Discover Canada and the bank is corrected.

For anything broken, tell us the mode you were in (practice, timed, sample exam) and what happened instead of what you expected.
